Singapore Visit – Part I I

This a three part series , Part one is here

My first impressions of Singapore

Singapore despite being a small city and a country when compared to India, and being surrounded by Ocean , has emerged as one of the greatest places to live and work. The country has low crime rates despite excessive cost of living and highly materialistic society. This has lot do with

  1. Very small Gap between Rich and not so rich people in singapore (there are no poor people here, every one has jobs and a place to call home).
  2. Very hard working People. Serious sloggers i mean
  3. But most importantly, The rulers of Singapore created financial powerhouse of this island country with enough wealth flowing to a relatively small number of citizens.

While most of population has Malay ancestry, many nationalities, cultures and languages coexist on a firm canvas of society driven by rules in a healthy and tolerant environment .

However , singaporians being astute , have also developed their tourism very well and systematically. one has multiple attractions to admire , mostly manmade , Like :

  • Universal Studios
  • Gardens by the Bay (GBB)
  • Cloud Forest (GBB)
  • Flower Dome (GBB)
  • Santosa Island
  • Night Safari
  • Jurong Bird park
  • Singapore Zoo
  • S.E.A Aquarium
  • Marina Sands

and Ofcourse we have cruises to indonedia and Malaysia.

One should Plan 7 day trip to Singapore, if you are not a regular visitor . Indians , if you want to stick to desi food, need not worry. Little India caters All your food cravings . right from Punjabi kadhi to idli vada – All is available .

Foodpanda and Deliveroo work best for fooed deliveries from the indian restaurants . If you are on budget – Stay in Holidayinn on Orchard road. Order food on food panda. have best of both the worlds.
